4cupcakes from any recipe
1buttercream of any flavour/colour although green for 'grass' is good
4strawberry cables/liquorice cables
1sugarpaste or wafer flowers

Frost the cupcakes with the icing of your choice. Brown or green are both good as soil or grass

Push a strawberry cable sweet into the top of each cupcake to make the basket 'handle'

Decorate the cake with the sugarpaste or wafer flowers to make a pretty easter or mothers day basket!

A nice touch is to bake the cupcakes in brown basket coloured cases, or I've seen cupcake wraps that look like woven baskets that are very cute. You could also tie a fruit leather bow onto the basket handle
