Passed on to me by my friend, this authentic Indian recipe makes delicious chai tea 🍵

Tea is a versatile hot beverage that can kick start your day and is all about flavours. I learnt making tea after many attempts of failing at it.

At my family's home in India, this tea is often served to guests. I've been drinking ginger chai a lot recently, so I made this for the first time in a while. It is wonderfully fragrant, so it's n ideal tea for refreshing you body and soul.You don't have to crush the whole cardamons to powder. If you add more sugar than usual, it will taste more authentic. If you leave the pan that you boiled the cardamon for a while without washing it, the kitchen will become filled with the scent of cardamon, making you happy. Recipe by Plabar

This is my take on Indian Tea commonly drunken throughout India. This recipe is for one large cup or two small cups. Extremely tasty and comforting with many health benefits. Not much beats this on a cold winters morning.

I'm a hot tea drinker fanatic, but every now and then on rainy days like today, I like to try something different: chai lattes are perfect for a cold day.

I developed this mix recipe more than a decade ago for my granddaughter Bree, who's a Chai lover. Recently, my granddaughter Dellaney requested the recipe, and I realized I'd never added it to my Cookpad collection. So here it is so all my grands and great-grands can always find and enjoy it. This makes about 6 cups of Chai mix. I've also used this mix, packaged cutely with a fun mug, for gifting.
