Ingredients

  1. 1 large apple cut into thin rounds (approx 8 rounds) and deseeded
  2. 1/4 cupsinghara atta
  3. 1/4 cup curd
  4. 1-2 tbspmilk
  5. 1/4 tspgrated nutmeg
  6. 1/2 cupsugar
  7. as neededOil for frying
  8. as needed silced pista & balanced almonds
  9. Garnish :
  10. 1-2 tbspchilled rabri for topping

Steps

  1. 1

    Cut apple into silces without peeling. Keep aside

  2. 2

    Make batter with singhara atta, milk and curd (use as much as needed) The batter should not be very thick or too thin.

  3. 3

    Heat oil, dip apple rounds in batter & fry on high flame to a crispy golden brown colour.

  4. 4

    Make syrup by boiling sugar with slightly less than 1/2 cup water, heat till the sugar dissolves, keep on low flame for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat (Do not make the syrup very thick) Dip apple rounds in sugar syrup one by one. Leave in the syrup for few seconds. Remove to serving plate.

    To serve top malpuas with some chilled rabri or serve warm malpuas sprinkled with nutmeg powder, along with cold rabri or ice cream serve separately.

    Garnish with pista and almonds
