I was scrounging around and found a bag of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Someone left a corner worth in the bag. Not enough to really have a bowl of cereal, but too much to throw away. I also had some cinnamon raisin bread, so I figured why not?

I was looking for potatoes or carrots to fry but we had none in the house! So I opted for toast! : )

I find it overwhelming if both sides are buttered so I put butter, sugar, and cinnamon on only one side of the bread. The measurement of the butter, sugar, and cinnamon would depend on your preference. :) I don't have a toaster so I use pan instead.

I've made no secret of the fact that I can't bake. Which is unfortunate, because freshly baked cinnamon buns, with or without cream cheese frosting, are among my very, very favourite foods. So I made this dessert to compensate, at least a little. It's sweet, it's buttery, it's cinnamony, it's pretty darned good. The observant may notice that the recipe calls for 9 slices of bread, but the picture only shows 6 toasts. That's because my daughter swiped 3 while I was setting up the photo. If that's not an endorsement, I don't know what is.

I've been making this since I was kid. I love them both ways. Sometimes I I have one piece of toast with peanut butter and the other piece without. So easy and very kid friendly especially for the kids who use the app

French toast, cut into cubes and toasted on all sides. It has more crispy edges than regular French toast. Also rolled in cinnamon sugar for that extra crunch and flavor!

So good it didn't even need syrup!!!!
