Ingredients

6 servings
  • 5 cupcorn chex, crushed (or chex of your choice)
  • 1 1/2 tsporegano
  • 6 tbspbutter, melted
  • 1/2 lbfresh mushrooms, sliced (could also use 8oz. canned mushrooms, drained)
  • 3eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cupHalf & half
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1 dashpepper
  • 1/4 tsponion powder
  • 1 1/2 cupshredded cheddar cheese

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease 9" pie plate.

  2. 2

    Combine chex, oregano, & melted butter until well mixed. Press onto bottom & sides of pie plate. Bake for 8 minutes. Cool for at least 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Spread mushrooms in bottom of shell.

  4. 4

    Combine eggs, half & half, salt, pepper, & onion powder. Pour over mushrooms. Sprinkle cheese evenly over top.

  5. 5

    Bake for 35 minutes. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
