Sheree's Cast Iron Quick Dry Aged Steak

MsKipper @MsKipper
I definitely did not create this recipe but I wanted a good steak. the salt is meant to preserve, tenderize, and age the steak.... IT SHOULD BE WASHED OFF THE STEAK!!!! I usually go to my butcher. Two quality steaks are expensive but it is definitely cheaper than going out.

You would not believe what a Prime dry-aged beef tastes like! I have never had such a tasty steak in my life. They are not inexpensive as the local butcher sells them for $44 /lbs. but this was on sale for $22. We like steak very rare and 125f is perfect. Just do not cook it well done! Paul Rybak -

A Former Steak Chef's Recipe for Beef Steak A Former Steak Chef's Recipe for Beef Steak
I always cook steak this way! It's just like they do it at steak restaurants! Imported beef is tough and dry? No it's not! You're just not cooking it right! What's the ichibo (culotte)? It's a part of the round, and there's only about 2 kilo of it per cow. Let's just call it sirloin!I use an old worn out non-stick frying pan. Let the meat come to room temperature → cut the muscle fibers → salt and pepper →use a red hot frying pan → flambé the meat → rest the meat! That's it! If you want to grill a steak in a frying pan, this is the recipe for you. Wrap the steak in foil and let it rest to prevent the juices from running out! For 1 serving.
