Ingredients: 1 cup dark corn syrup; 3 eggs (beaten); 1 cup sugar; 2 tbsp butter (melted); 1 tsp vanilla extract; 1 1/2 cup pecans (I like a mixture of halves & chopped); 1 raw pie crust (deep dish)

This is the recipe my grandmother and my husbands grandmother used. And I noticed this year that it is the same recipe on the back of the Karo bottle...maybe that's where they got it from many moons ago!

Ingredients

1 cupdark corn syrup
3eggs (beaten)
1 cupsugar
2 tbspbutter (melted)
1 tspvanilla extract
1 1/2 cuppecans (I like a mixture of halves & chopped)
1raw pie crust (deep dish)

Steps

Preheat oven to 350°

In a medium bowl, stir the first 5 ingredients thoroughly

Pour into pie crust and cover with pecans

Bake on middle rack for 60 minutes

Cover pie with foil and bake an additional 10-15 minutes (until middle is springy)

Cool for 2-3 hours before slicing (or it'll be runny!)
