3 Fish Stew

A friend of mine gave me a random bag of fish that had been frozen for who knows how long. I needed a recipe that would cover any unwanted flavors and still be safe and good. This is a meld of an old chowder recipe and a fish stew I found in a midevil cookbook.

A friend of mine gave me a random bag of fish that had been frozen for who knows how long. I needed a recipe that would cover any unwanted flavors and still be safe and good. This is a meld of an old chowder recipe and a fish stew I found in a midevil cookbook.
Steps
- 1
Cube the fish into about 1"
- 2
Pour the water into a saucepan and add about 1/3 of the fish cubes. Boil for about 10 minuts
- 3
Brown the bacon, and onion, when crispy cube and add the potato. Brown well
- 4
Add the fish in the water to the bacon/onion/potato bring to a simmer and add the rest of the fish. Simmer for about 10 minuts
- 5
After 10 minutes add the cream, evaporated milk, salt, pepper, and shrimp. Bring to just below a boil and com for 1 hour. Note: it is important not to let this boil your sauce will break and while it will still be tasty, visually it will get really ugly.
