Ingredients

  1. 3red bell peppers
  2. 1 cupwalnuts, roughly chopped
  3. 3/4 cupbreadcrumbs
  4. 1/4 cuppomegranate molasses
  5. 1/4 cupextra virgin olive oil
  6. 1 tbspcumin, ground
  7. 1 tbspspicy red pepper paste or harissa, optional
  8. 1 tspsalt, or to taste
  9. 1 tspsugar, optional

    Process the red bell peppers in the food processor until finely chopped.

  2. 2

    In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients together, cover, and refrigerate until ready to serve.

  3. 3

    To serve, spread muhammara into a shallow dish, drill with some extra virgin olive oil and garnish with walnuts.
