Ingredients

8 servings
  1. 2eggs
  2. 2 can(4.5 ounces each) chopped green chiles, drained
  3. 1 1/4 cupshredded sharp cheddar cheese
  4. 1/2 cupflour
  5. 1 tspbaking powder
  6. 1 1/2 cupmilk
  7. 1 1/4 cupshredded Monterey jack cheese
  8. 1sour cream for garnish (if desired)
  9. 1salsa for garnish (if desired)

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. 2

    Grease a pie plate or an 11 X 7 inch casserole dish.

  3. 3

    In a large bowl, beat eggs.

  4. 4

    Add green chiles, cheddar and Monterey jack cheeses, flour, baking powder and milk.

  5. 5

    Stir until combined.

  6. 6

    Pour egg mixture into prepared pie plate or casserole dish.

  7. 7

    Bake in a preheated oven 50 minutes or until set.

  8. 8

    Remove from oven, let sit 5 minutes, cut into squares and serve.

  9. 9

    Garnish with salsa and/or sour cream, if desired.

Some of my favorite things are family, friends, my pets, cooking, baking, football (Badger & Packer), Brewer baseball, college basketball, car racing, thrift stores, volunteering, and rummage sales. I have a 9 year old rescue dog, and 7 birds ( 6 are rescue) and they range in age from 1 year to over 19 years old. I volunteer for a dog rescue and a shelter, as well as other festivals and organizations.
