I received this recipe from a dear friend about 10 years ago. I've made it many times and have shared the recipe just as many! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Steps
- 1
Preheat oven to 325.
- 2
Cream the butter, shortening and sugar
- 3
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition
- 4
Add vanilla extract. ( You can use any extract flavor you like. I've used lemon and almond and they taste great!)
- 5
In a separate bowl combine the flour, salt and baking powder, mix well
- 6
Alternately with the milk, add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture, and mix well after each addition
- 7
Pour into a greased and floured bundt or tube pan and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes
- 8
Enjoy!!
