Meat sauce for spaghetti
Tired of the same old marinara in a can, this is quick and easy.
Steps
- 1
Oil a large sauce pan and add onion. Saute till tender about 5 minutes. Add garlic. Cook 1 minute. Add ground turkey. Cook till crumbled and browned.
- 2
Add herbs. Stir a couple of minutes. Your kitchen will start to smell like a garden. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, mushrooms, and water. Bring to a boil and simmer. Stir occasionally for 25 to 30 minutes or to desired consistency.
- 3
If your lazy like me, just throw your noodles in the pot when sauce is boiling. Simmer just like recipe calls for. Stir once noodles have soften. Super easy and only one pot.
- 4
Add parmesian cheese and enjoy
