Ingredients

8 servings
  1. Meat Sauce
  2. 600 gramsGround beef (or ground beef mix)
  3. 50 gramsBacon (or Panchetta)
  4. 1 stalkCelery
  5. 1Onion
  6. 1Carrot
  7. 2 cloveGarlic
  8. 200 mlRed wine
  9. 2 canCanned tomatoes (diced cut)
  10. 2Cubed bouillon (I use Knorr brand)
  11. 1leaf Basil
  12. 1 1/2 tspSalt
  13. 1Pepper
  14. 20 gramsButter
  15. 100 mlMilk

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Mince the bacon, celery, onion, carrot, and garlic.

  2. 2

Pour olive oil and the garlic in a deep pan and heat. Add vegetables and cook for 30 minutes over low heat to bring out their flavors.

  3. 3

Increase the heat and add the ground meat. It's more like grilling than cooking. Spread it out and don't mess with the meat much.

  4. 4

Add the red wine, and cook off the alcohol.

  5. 5

Add the canned tomatoes, cubed soup stock, and basil and boil for about an hour.

  6. 6

Season with salt, pepper, and butter to taste. Add milk as the finishing touch.

  7. 7

Top over boiled pasta and you're done.
