#Mycookbook I'm not really a baker, I mostly like to cook. But my hubby loves this lemon poppy seed loaf.. I made up the recipe years ago, and well. .. it just works 😉😊 Delish!! (Mine split this time around while baking 😢)

Ingredients

Syrup
1/4 cupsugar
1juice from 2 lemons
Dry Mix
2 cupflour
1 tspbaking powder
1Zest from 2 lemons
2 tbsppoppy seeds
Wet mix
1 cupbutter (room temp)
1 cupsugar
5eggs

Steps

On stove top dissolve sugar with the lemon juice and remove from heat.

Preheat oven to 350.. and spray a standard size loaf pan

Mix all the dry ingredients together

In a separate bowl, cream together the wet ingredients,adding the eggs one by one

Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet.

Pour batter into loaf pan and bake for 60-75 min (depending on oven)
7

Once loaf is out of oven,poke with holes and brush with your Lemony syrup
