My mom used to prepare this with Aapam, she never uses coconut milk. I tried in a different way by adding coconut milk and it was very very tasty and yummy!!! Coconut milk is good for curing stomach ulcers and really make glowing the skin!!!

Ingredients

  1. 3 eachhard boiled eggs
  2. 2 mediumchopped onion
  3. 1 cupfresh coconut milk
  4. 2green chillies
  5. 1clove
  6. 1 smallpiece of cinnamon
  7. 1caradamom
  8. 1star anise
  9. 1 smalltomato (optional)
  10. 1 pinchturmeric powder
  11. 1 tspgaram masala powder
  12. 1 tspcoriander powder
  13. 2 tspoil
  14. 1salt
  15. 1/4 bunchchopped coriander leaves

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in a pan and add cinnamon, cardamom and cloves and saute.

  2. 2

    Add chopped onions, green chillies and saute until it becomes soft. If adding tomatoes, add now and saute a little

  3. 3

    Now add all the powder varieties, salt, mix well and add coconut milk and reduce the flame

  4. 4

    Once the mixture starts boiling, de-shell the boiled eggs and give a cut mark in verticals and add to it.

  5. 5

    Just flip the gravy in between occasionally and once it starts thickening switch off the flame.

  6. 6

    Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Can be taken with Chappatis, naan, dosa, aapam and rice.

  7. 7

    Note: If you want very mild flavours, then can skip adding garam masala and can add red chilli powder. * Don't overmix after adding eggs, or else the eggs will break out.
