Ingredients

  1. bread
  2. 5very ripe bananas (I let them get black and then freeze them until I'm ready to use)
  3. 1 1/2 cupall-purpose flour
  4. 1 1/4 cupsugar
  5. 1/4 cupsour cream
  6. 1/4 cupcanola oil
  7. 1 tspbaking soda
  8. 1 tspvanilla extract
  9. 1/2 tspsalt
  10. 1/2 tspcinnamon
  11. glaze
  12. 1/4 cupsour cream
  13. 3/4 cupconfectioners sugar
  14. 1/4 tspvanilla extract

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix all the dry ingredients together in a large bowl.

  2. 2

    Mash the bananas together with all the wet ingredients.

  3. 3

    Add the wet to the dry and mix until incorporated.

  4. 4

    Place in a lightly greased loaf pan

  5. 5

    Bake at 350° for 50 minutes to an hour.* update, an hour and 10 to 15 minutes if you like it a bit more dry. Just watch it so it doesnt get to dark. This is an extremly most bread!

  6. 6

    For the glaze~ put the confectioners sugar and sour cream in a small sauce pan on low heat. Stir until smooth. It doesn't need to be very warm. Add vanilla when removed from heat. Pour over cooled bread.
