Ingredients

  • 1 packagesPre-made pie crust or homemade crust. your choice
  • 5medium apples
  • 3/4 cupsugar
  • 2 tbspall-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tspcinnamon
  • 1/4 tspnutmeg
  • 1/4 tspallspice
  • 1/4 tspground cloves
  • 1 tsplime juice
  • 1each eggs
  • 1raw sugar for top of crust

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 400°f and let pie crust come to room temp.

  2. 2

    Peel, core and slice apples.

    Mix all filling ingredients together in a bowl. Let stand for 10 min.

    Place first crust in pie tin then fill. Cover pie with other crust, pinch edges, and cut slits for ventilation.

    Brush egg on crust, sprinkle with raw sugar and cinnamon.

  6. 6

    Bake at 400° for 30-40 minutes. Cover with foil for the first 20 minutes.
