Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupButter, softened
  2. 1/2 cupShortening
  3. 1 1/2 cupGranulated sugar
  4. 2 eachEggs
  5. 2 tspVanilla extract
  6. 1/2 mediumLemon juice from fresh squeezed
  7. 3 cupAP Flour
  8. 1 tspBaking Soda
  9. 1/4 tspSalt
  10. Sugar/Cin mix
  11. 2 tbspGranulated sugar
  12. 2 tspGround cinnamon

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 400°F for a conventional oven.

    Cream together butter, shortening & sugar. Add eggs, vanilla and lemon juice. Sift together dry ingredients, and add to wet batter. Should clean sides of bowls but not be dry.

    Make the sugar/cinnamon mixture.Shape dough into 1in balls and roll into sugar/cinnamon. Place 2in apart on un-greased baking sheet.

    Bake @ 400°F for 8-10 minutes. Remove from baking sheets immediately to cooling racks. Let sit 5 minutes, then enjoy!
