Ingredients

48 servings
  • 1/2 cupButter, softened
  • 1/2 cupShortening
  • 1 1/2 cupGranulated sugar
  • 2 eachEggs
  • 2 tspVanilla extract
  • 1/2 mediumLemon juice from fresh squeezed
  • 3 cupAP Flour
  • 1 tspBaking Soda
  • 1/4 tspSalt
  • Sugar/Cin mix
  • 2 tbspGranulated sugar
  • 2 tspGround cinnamon

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 400°F for a conventional oven.

    Cream together butter, shortening & sugar. Add eggs, vanilla and lemon juice. Sift together dry ingredients, and add to wet batter. Should clean sides of bowls but not be dry.

    Make the sugar/cinnamon mixture.Shape dough into 1in balls and roll into sugar/cinnamon. Place 2in apart on un-greased baking sheet.

    Bake @ 400°F for 8-10 minutes. Remove from baking sheets immediately to cooling racks. Let sit 5 minutes, then enjoy!
