4blocks of butter
2 kgself-raising flour
12 tspbi-carb
32eggs
2 kgslice dried dates
4 pintswater

preheat oven to 160 C

cream butter and sugar together to make a paste

put water on to boil
4

add eggs to past and mix through
5

mix flour in slowly

add dates to boiling water and bring to boil again

add bi-carb and let it foam up

mix all together
9

line baking trays with greasproof paper pour mix in and tin foil over
10

put in oven for one hour
