Ingredients

20 minutes
4 servings
  1. 300 gmsshrimps deshelled and marinated with turmeric powder
  2. 1large onion chopped fine
  3. 2 sprigscurry leaves
  4. 1 tbspnbutter
  5. 2 tbspnblack pepper corns
  6. 2 tbspnoyester sauce
  7. 1 tbspnginger garlic paste
  8. 2 tbspnsoy sauce
  9. 4chilli red Padi/green chillies finely chopped
  10. Dry spices like
  11. 1 tbspturmeric and red chilli powders
  12. 4 tbspmustard/sesame oil
  13. Handfulcoriander leaves/ spring onion greens chopped to garnish

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Place the marinated shrimps in a bowl of cold water for 10 minutes

  2. 2

    Grind the pepper corns coursely

  3. 3

    Heat oil in a wok

  4. 4

    Add butter to it and let the heat melt the butter completely

  5. 5

    Add and curry leaves and sauté till onions turn translucent

  6. 6

    Add ginger garlic paste, chillies and sauté for another 2-3 minutes

  7. 7

    Add the dry spices and deglaze the wok with a drizzle of water

  8. 8

    Next add the sauces, crushed pepper corns and salt and blend well

  9. 9

    Toss in the shrimps and roast covered for 10 minutes covered in Low heat

  10. 10

    Check after 10 minutes of the shrimps have cooked or cook for another 5 minutes

  11. 11

    Garnish with fresh coriander leaves /spring onion greens and serve hot

  12. 12

    Tips:Thaw the shrimps well in case you are using frozen
