Mushroom Gravy Sauce for Steak

Ingredients

  1. 8 ozmushroom
  2. 1 tbspbutter
  3. 1 tbspolive oil
  4. 1/2 cupdry red wine
  5. 3/4 cupbeef broth
  6. 2 tbspflour
  7. 3 tbspcold water
  8. 1 tspdried parsley flakes
  9. to tastesalt & pepper

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Saute mushrooms in butter and oil for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally

  2. 2

    Add red wine and simmer for a few minutes

  3. 3

    Add beef broth and simmer to reduce a bit, about 5 minutes

  4. 4

    Combine flour and cold water and whisk until smooth. Stir into the mushrooms until well blended

  5. 5

    Season to taste and simmer for about 1 minute, until thickened. If too thick, add a bit more broth

  6. 6

    Add parsley simmer for a minute

  7. 7

    Serve on top of steak! Enjoy!
