Spicy Venison Jerky

My father from Merauke brought some venison jerky, which my mother used to bring back from the southern region of Papua. I was brainstorming what to make with it, and it seemed like a good idea to spice it up. Voila... it became spicy venison jerky. The spicy and savory flavors blend with the sweetness of the jerky. Yum 😋

I wanted to call it 'Dendeng Batokok' but wasn't confident because I wasn't sure if the taste was accurate, especially since I used a blender hehe 😂 Basically, this is a spicy jerky inspired by the idea of 'Dendeng Batokok'. I imagined it would be delicious to balance out the sweetness of the venison jerky☺

I used ready-made jerky. If you make it yourself, I'm not sure where to find venison here, but in Kalimantan or Papua, it's common 😂 You can also substitute with ready-to-use beef jerky.

Happy cooking! 😆
