remove tops and seeds from 6 green peppers simmer cleaned peppers upright for 5 minutes in half salted water drain and cool slightly before stuffing ( this step will eliminate the slightly bitter taste stuffed bell peppers often have)

combine 1 pound ground beef 1 cup water 1 half cup tomato sauce and 1 and a half cup instant rice 1 egg and 1 envelope meatloaf seasoning going into peppers place in shallow casserole dish

squeeze ketchup on the top of the meat that you put into the bell peppers and poor 15 ounce can of tomato sauce on and around peppers. Cover. Bake at 400°F about an hour, basting occasionally with tomato sauce. Makes 6 serving.

meatloaf seasoning from scratch. 2 teaspoon mustard. 2 teaspoon paprika. 1 and a half teaspoon basil. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 3 teaspoons garlic and pepper seasoning or 1 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 and 1 half teaspoon salt
