1 cuppacked gold sugar
1 cupsoftened butter
2 tspvanilla extract
2eggs
1 tspbaking soda
2 tsphot water
1/2 tspsalt
3 cupall purpose flour
2 cupsemi sweet chocolate chips

preheat oven to 325°F

cream together, sugar and butter with wooden sppon

beat in eggs one at a time

stir in vanilla

dissolve baking soda in hot water

add to mix along with salt

stir in flour

fold in chocolate chips by hand

drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet

bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden brown
