In saucepan: simmer milk over low heat until reduce to 1 cup.Stir in sugar until well-combined.

Turn off heat and let cool.Mix 3 tablespoons of simmered milk with egg yolks.Add this mixture gradually into milk in pan.

Stir in vanilla and continue stirring over low heat until mixture thickens.*Optional: Stir in chopped peanuts.

Remove heat and let cool. Shape into balls using 1 tablespoon as 1 bal or shape into small slabs.Roll onto confectioner's sugar to coat.

Note: you can add a variety of nuts into this: you can use cashews, walnuts or alomonds.
