Ingredients

  1. In The Crockpot w/raw meat
  2. 3 lbchuck roast
  3. 3 tbspMcCormick's Grill mates mesquite flavor
  4. 2 1/2 tspGarlic chopped fine
  5. 1salt and pepper to taste
  6. Barbecue Sauce ingredients
  7. 1 cantomato paste (small can)
  8. 1 cupwelch's grape jam
  9. 1/4 cupwater
  10. 1 tbspmustard
  11. 3 tbspdill pickle juice
  12. 2 tbsptabasco sauce
  13. 1 tspgarlic powder
  14. 1 tspblack pepper

Steps

5 hours 50 mins
  1. 1

    place chuck roast in crock pot and cover with water

  2. 2

    add grill mate seasoning ,garlic ,salt and pepper

  3. 3

    cover and cook on high for 5 to 6 hours

  4. 4

    when Roast is done and falling apart drain water.. remove fat and replace in crockpot

  5. 5

    Add the barbecue sauce ingredients stir well recover and cook on low for about an hour :)

  6. 6

    *note... if sauce gets too thick add water a tablespoon at a time
