Ingredients

  1. 1 cupchopped boiled beetroot
  2. 1/4 tspsalt
  3. 1 1/2 cupplain flour
  4. 1 cupcocoa
  5. 1 tbspbaking powder
  6. 3/4 cupcaster sugar
  7. 1/2 cupapple puree
  8. 3eggs
  9. 2 tspvanilla
  10. 3/4 cupsunflower oil
  11. 1/3 cupdark choc chips

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 190.

  2. 2

    finely chop beetroot in food processor, add all remaining ingredients except oil and choc chips.Process until smooth. Gradually add oil.

  3. 3

    Stir in chocolate, spoon into greased cake tin. Bake 45 - 55 mins. Sprinkle with icing sugar to serve.
