peel and chop onion and carrots, gently brown in some dripping or butter then add soya sauce

chop potatoes to different sized cubes, chop leek and add to pot

cover with water, simmer gently add bovril or rich beef stock cubes

when liquid is simmering add the mince in varying sized lumps.simmer for 40 minutes season to taste.this soup is best left for an hour or two then reheated
