3/4 cupgolden all vegetable shortening
1 1/4 cuplightly packed brown sugar
1egg
2 tbspmilk
1 tbspvanilla
1 3/4 cupflour
1 tspsalt
3/4 tspbaking soda
1 cupsemi sweet chocolate chips
1 cupcoarsely chopped peacans

preheat oven 375

cream shortening and brown sugar in large bowl at medium speed for 2 minutes

add egg, milk, and vanilla, beating 1 minute

combine flour, salt, and baking soda. add to creamed mixture gradually, beating on low speed

stir in chocolate chips and peacans

drop by tablespoonfull on ungreased baking sheet
7

bake 11 to 13 minutes, cool on pan 2 minutes
