2 cupmilk, scalded
3eggs, separated
4 tbspcornstarch
1 cupbrown sugar
4 tbspmelted butter
1/4 tspsalt
1/2 tspvanilla

Heat milk in top of double boiler until scalded.

beat egg yolks 1 minute, add cornstarch, brown sugar, melted butter and salt. Add this mixture to scalded milk.

cook in double boiler, stirring constantly, until mixture is thick. Add vanilla.
