Steps
- 1
Peal apples and cut in 4
- 2
On a saucepan, melt the butter and spread a nice amount of the sugar
- 3
Arrange the apples with the round side down (towards the saucepan) and once the circle is done, a top layer with the round sides up. (just arrange them nicely)
- 4
Warm the pan for 10 to 14 min controlling with help of a butter knife that the sugar becomes golden-brown
- 5
heat the oven at 230 C, stretch the pastry dough keeping 2cm over the edge of the sauce pan. Push the edges carefully inside not disturbing the apples too much.
- 6
Bake 15 min in the oven and then lower the temperature to 180 C and cook another 15 min.
- 7
Place a plate over the baked dough, and fast flip it upside down (just in case do it over the sink). The whole tarte should fall on the plate in one piece.
- 8
Serve warm (best in my opinion) or cool (you can also serve it with cream or ice cream).
- 9
Enjoy!
