Combine the first three ingredient in saucepan. Cook hard ball stage (260°). Pour into lightly buttered shallow pan and let stand until cool to handle.

Have oil ready to add during the first few minutes of pulling .

Buttered hands lightly. Pull candy. Stretch, fold over, stretch) repeating until candy has a satellite finish.

Pull candy into 1/2 inch rope then cut with scissors into1/4 inch in lengths. Drop pieces into pan of powdered sugar, coating well and keeping each pieces separate .

Cover pan and let candy crystallize hours for 24 -36 hours. Then place into something you can shake off extra sugar.

Store candy in a airtight container. MINTS last indefinitely. Makes 1 1/4 lbs.
