Line and grease two baking trays.

Cream the butter and sugar together.

Beat in the egg.

Add the flour a little at a time and knead in.

Make a ball, wrap in cling film and put in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180° C.

Roll out to the thickness of a £1 coin and cut out with Easter shaped cutters.

Place on the baking trays and bake for about 10-15 minutes, depending on the size.

When done, they should be crisp and golden brown.

Leave to cool for a few minutes and then tranfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Whilst the biscuits are cooling, melt the chocolate.

When the biscuits are cool, pipe the chocolate on them however you like.
