
Cabbage Roll Casserole with White Gravy
Steps

Blend meat, onion, milk, breadcrumbs, salt, molasses, ginger, nutmeg, allspice & egg in a bowl.

Cut out core of cabbage. Cut cabbage in half.

Peel leaves from one half and boil in water for 3 minutes. Remove leaves from water, reserving water. Lay evenly in bottom of 13x9 casserole dish.

Spread meat mixture evenly over cabbage leaves.

Peel leaves from one half and boil in water for 3 minutes. Remove leaves from water, reserving water. Lay evenly over meat mixture.

Cut butter into small pieces and place on top of cabbage.

Pour water from boiling cabbage over cabbage casserole.

Cover and bake at 375°F from 1 hour. Remove from oven.

Drain juices into sauce pan. Add milk. Bring to a boil and stir in cornstarch. Bring to boil. Pour over casserole.

Bake uncovered at 375°F for 15 min. or until browned.
