Ingredients

  1. 215oz. cans beets
  2. 1 dozenhard boiled eggs
  3. 1red onion, thinly sliced
  4. 1 1/2 cupreserbed beet liquid
  5. 1 1/2 cupgranulated sugar
  6. 1 cupwhite vinegar
  7. 8whole cloves
  8. 3/4 tspsalt
  9. 1/4 tspblack pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    Place beets eggs and onion in a large bowl.

  2. 2

    Bring remaining ingredients to a boil in a medium saucepan and cook for 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Pour liquid over the beets, eggs, and onion, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate overnight.
