wash strawberries

cut off tops

cut strawberries in half. DO NOT DICE, DO NOT SMASH

add water and sugar to the pan

heat to boiling

boil on medium flame for 5 minutes

add strawberries DO NOT COVER it will boil over

DO NOT STIR

boil 10-15 minutes. strawberries will lose their bright color

Take off heat, use slotted spoon to carefully remove cooked berries

let cool

Pour into jar. Don't pour quickly and you will avoid pouring any seeds or "hairs" into the jar.
