Ingredients

3 or 4 servings
  1. 1/2 kgchicken cut into small pieces
  2. 1teaspoon chilli powder
  3. 1teaspoon coriander powder
  4. 1 1/2teaspoon lime juice
  5. 1/2teaspoon pepper powder
  6. 1 pinchturmeric powder
  7. Coconut oil as per the requirement
  8. 3teaspoon chopped garlic and ginger
  9. 2teapoon curry leaves
  10. 1/2teaspoon green chillies chopped
  11. 2medium sized onions chopped
  12. to tasteSalt
  13. 1teaspoon tomato puree
  14. 1teaspoon tomato ketchup

Steps

    Add chicken along with chilli powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice, pepper powder and a splash of water. mix well. Also add a pinch of salt to it.

    Set aside for 30 minutes

  3. 3

    Later, in a pressure cooker cook the chicken with little water. Once the chicken turns a bit white, turn off the gas. Keep the remaining juice in the pressure cooker.

    In another pan, heat oil and fry the chicken taken from the juice. Always remember not to use the juice.

    Fry the chicken for almost 2 minutes

  6. 6

    Set aside the chicken.

    Heat 2 teaspoon of oil in another pan Saute the chopped ginger and garlic till it turns golden brown

  8. 8

    Add curry leaves and green chillies

  9. 9

    Add onion and saute till the onion turns soft and golden.

  10. 10

    Add the chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder.

  11. 11

    Add the chopped tomato and mash them.

  12. 12

    Add tomato puree and ketchup.

  13. 13

    Now add the remaining chicken stock from the pressure cooker and mix well.

    Add the fried chicken

    Saute for a minute and your chicken masala is ready... 😊
