Ingredients

  1. 1/2 kgchicken with bones
  2. 2-3cloves
  3. 1 pinchcinnamon powder or a small piece of cinnamon stick
  4. 1and a half cup milk
  5. 1lemon
  6. 1 spoonvegetable oil
  7. 1/2 spoonpickle masala
  8. 1/4 spoonblack pepper
  9. Salt as per taste
  10. 1/2 spoonred chilli powder
  11. 1/2 spoonbhunna jeera powder
  12. 1/2 bowlshopped corinader leaves

Steps

  1. 1

    Put 1 spoon oil in a cooking vessel

  2. 2

    Add cloves and cinnamon powder to the oil

  3. 3

    Pour 1 and a half cup of milk to it

  4. 4

    Now Add chicken to it

  5. 5

    Squeeze in one lemon

  6. 6

    Let the milk tear apart and simmer the flame, cover the cooking vessel with lid

  7. 7

    After 10 mins when half of the milk has dried out add red chilli powder, black pepper and any pickle masala of your choice and salt to taste (Note: Turmeric is not required in this recipe)

  8. 8

    Let it cook for 10 mins

  9. 9

    Now increase the flame and let the milk dry compelety

  10. 10

    Add bhuna jeera powder while the milk is dried as will give the chicken a nice roasted colour

  11. 11

    When the chicken starts sticking to the cooking vessel turn off the gas

  12. 12

    Take it out in a serving dish and garnish with coriander leaves
