This is one of my favorite recipes for a green smoothie. It's refreshing with a subtle sweetness. It makes a nice breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

  1. 3/4 cupwater or milk of choice (or less for a thicker smoothie)
  2. 1heaping cup shredded kale
  3. 1medium banana
  4. 1/2 cuppeach slices
  5. 1/2 cupmango chunks
  6. 1/2peeled Clementine (optional for a citrusy kick)
  7. Drizzle honey (optional)
  8. 1/2 tsp.ground flaxseed (optional)

Cooking Instructions

    Simply blend all of the ingredients together. Eat immediately or you can place it in an airtight container (like a mason jar) and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.

    If you don't have a high power blender, be sure to blend just the liquid and the kale to begin with, then add the rest of the ingredients. This will ensure a smooth drink.

    I like to use frozen fruit in my smoothies, but if your fruit is fresh simply throw in a small handful of ice cubes.

I love to bake and to try out new recipes! I'm always on the lookout for simple dinners for busy weeknights. A lot of the recipes I post on here are ones I've found on Pinterest or from different bloggers, and that I've tried and really enjoyed, but I always reference to where I got the recipe from in the recipe description and the pictures are my own. If there's no source listed, then it's a rare recipe that I came up with. I have two wonderful kids and I hope to pass on my love of cooking and baking to them.
