  1. 2 poundsgreen split peas
  2. 1medium onion diced
  3. 3 tablespoonbutter
  4. 8 cupswater
  5. 1 teaspoonsalt
  6. 1/2 teaspoongranulated garlic powder
  7. 1 teaspoonground black pepper

Steps

2 hours
  1. 1

    Heat a pot with the butter in it. Add the diced onions.

    Add the peas and add the water.

  3. 3

    When the water boils add the garlic and black pepper stir well.

  4. 4

    Simmer for 2 hours. In the last 30 minutes add the salt and simmer 30 minutes.

    Serve I hope you enjoy!
