Ingredients

  1. 1 cupboiled channa
  2. 1/2 tspkashmiri red chilli powder
  3. 1/2 tspsalt
  4. 1/4 cupcorn flour
  5. Oil for frying
  6. For sauce- 2tsp oil
  7. 3 clovegarlic chopped
  8. , I inch ginger finely chopped
  9. 2greenchilly
  10. 3 tbspspring onions slit
  11. 1/4onion, 1capsicum cubes
  12. 1 tspred chilli sauce
  13. 2 tbsptamato ketchup
  14. 1 tbspciba channa masala
  15. 2 tspvinegar 2tsp soya sauce
  16. 1/4 tspsugar, 1/4tsp salt

Steps

  1. 1

    Firstly in a large bowl take the boiled channa add in red chilli powder, salt, corn flour.

  2. 2

    Mix well making sure to coat the chana well.

  3. 3

    Deep fry the coated chana in hot oil. Stir occasionally and fry till the chana turns golden and crisp

  4. 4

    Drain off the chana over kitchen paper to absorb excess oil. Keep aside

  5. 5

    Now prepare the sauce by heating oil and soute garlic, ginger,and green chiiy. Further saute spring onions slightly. Now add onion, capsicum saute for a minute till the capsicum shrinks yet crunchy. Now add all masalas and sauce mix well.

    Soute on high flame till the sauce thickens and turns translucent.

  7. 7

    Now add fried chana and mix well

  8. 8

    Finally serve chilly channa as a starter or enjoy with fried rice
