Ingredients

Serves 16 servings
  1. 250 gramswheat flour (2 cups minus 4 tablespoons)
  2. 150 mllukewarm water (1/2 cup)
  3. 14 gramsoil (2 tablespoons)
  4. 6 gramssugar (1 teaspoon)
  5. 5 gramssalt (1 teaspoon)
  6. Optional additions:
  7. 1 tablespoonketchup
  8. Pinchnigella seeds
  9. 1 tablespoonthyme
  10. Pinchcheese

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix all the dry ingredients together.

  2. 2

    Gradually add water while kneading.

  3. 3

    Add the oil and continue kneading until you get a smooth dough.

  4. 4

    Let it rest for 10 minutes.

  5. 5

    Roll out the dough with or without a rolling pin.

  6. 6

    Prepare a 60x60 cm baking sheet or oven tray and spread the dough to a thickness of 3 mm.

  7. 7

    Prick the dough with a fork and cut as desired.

  8. 8

    Bake at 130°C (about 266°F) in a preheated oven.

  9. 9

    Optional: You can add ketchup, nigella seeds, or thyme. If you don't need it to be vegan, you can add a pinch of cheese.
