Ingredients

10 servings
  1. 1 lbDry Red Beans
  2. 2 lbExtra Lean Ground Beef
  3. 2 mediumOnions
  4. 2 largeGreen Bell Peppers
  5. 5 mediumCarrots
  6. 60 ozCrushed Canned Tomatoes (two 30oz cans)
  7. 2 tbspMinced Garlic
  8. 2 tbspChili Powder
  9. 2 tbspCumin
  10. 2 tspBlack Pepper
  11. 3 tbspSalt
  12. 1/2 tspCayenne Pepper
  13. 5 cupWater

Cooking Instructions

    Rinse beans in colander, and pick out any bad beans. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Finely grate carrots, dice peppers and onions.

  3. 3

    In a large pan, brown the beef and onions, and then drain excess fat/oil.

  4. 4

    Add all ingredients to large crockpot and stir. Remove any floating beans.

  5. 5

    Cook for 10 hours on Low, OR 2 on High + 5 on Low.
