This recipe is fantastic. It is fast, easy, and doesn't need a thermometer.

Combine the butter, milk, and sugar in a large pan. Use medium heat, and cook to a boil. When the mixture begins to boil check the time and boil for Only 8 Minutes. turn off the heat, pour in the vanilla and chocolate chips, stir till all are melted and mixed in. Then add the marshmallow creme and mix in well. Pour into a shallow Buttered dish to cool and set. when cool cut into bite size squares, remove from pan, and turn over for the underside to dry. Give it about an hour to dry then it should be ready to serve.

If the humidity is high do not make fudge. The best fudge is made in cooler weather with low humidity.

This is a beautifully versatile recipe. for Christmas I use white chocolate chips and add candied cherries and pecans.
