Preheat oven to 375 with rack in top third place 10" cast iron skillet in oven

Whisk together flour 3 T sugar baking powder and salt in bowl. Whisk together milk egg and melted butter in another bowl. Whisk milk minus into flour mix until just combined

Remove skillet in and add remaining butter swirl to coat. Pour in batter and smooth top. Sprinkle with berries and remaining sugar

Bake until golden brown and cooked through. About 25 min. Remove and let cool 5 min then dust with powdered sugar. Serve with syrup
