In large pot, brown meat and chopped onion in oil. Then add water and seasoning packet. Cover and let simmer on med-low for 1 hr.

While simmering, peel and chop all veggies into bite size pieces and add them to simmering meat. Add salt, pepper, season salt and garlic powder. Mix well, cover and simmer 1 more hr.

Melt 1 stick butter in microwave and mix in flour until smooth. Slowly pour this into stew, stirring constantly so mixture does not clump. Stew will thicken once potatoes reach desired tendency, stew is ready. Serve with biscuits.
