Ingredients

  1. 1 lbGround beef
  2. 1 largeOnion
  3. 3 clovegarlic, peeled not chopped
  4. 1/2 tspOregano
  5. 1 tspSalt
  6. 1/4 tspPepper
  7. 6 ozCan of tomato paste
  8. 3/4 cupWater
  9. 1 canTomato Sauce
  10. 1Bay Leaf
  11. 1 tbspSugar

Steps

  1. 1

    Crumble beef into saucepan and brown

  2. 2

    Add onion, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper and cook for 5 min

  3. 3

    Add tomato paste, water, tomato sauce and bay leaf; bring to a boil and then simmer uncovered 40-45 min

  4. 4

    Remove bay leaf and garlic after 45 min, add sugar and simmer 15 min
