Ingredients

Soaking Time : 6 hours, Cooking Time : 20-25 mins
2 servings
  • 1 cupboiled white peas
  • 1/2 cupchana dal or masoor dal (optional) soak and boil them if adding
  • 1/2 cupcoconut powder
  • 1medium size onion
  • 1 spoonginger garlic paste (optional)
  • 1/2 spoonoil
  • 1 spoonGodwa masala
  • 1/2 spooneach of turmeric and chilli powder
  • to tastesalt and jaggery
  • 1/2lemon to squeeze in gravy

Steps

Soaking Time : 6 hours, Cooking Time : 20-25 mins
  1. 1

    Soak White Peas overnight and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.
    In a Kadhai or Pan add ½ spoon of oil

  2. 2

    Add coconut powder and sauté till it turns little brown and you get a nice
    aroma of coconut.

  3. 3

    Add Godva Masala, turmeric powder and chilli powder and sauté till it mix well.
    Add the boiled white peas and saute.
    Add sugar and salt to taste and squeeze a lemon.

  4. 4

    Add ginger garlic paste and saute.
    Cut onions into small pieces. and sauté till they turn soft and brown.

  5. 5

    Add 1 glass of water, mix everything nicely and let it simmer and bring the curry to boil
    Serve it hot with Pav, Farshan, Lemon, Onion..
