In a mixing bowl, add flour, baking powder, nutmeg and mix the butter into the flour with finger tips until it resembles bread crumbs.

Add water bit by bit while mixing. (Add water only enough to mould the dough together) let dough rest for 20 minutes

Place a pot on fire

Add oil and stir in onion,garlic, thyme,and when the onion looks brighter, add the mince meat and stir fry till the meat are pale in colour

Add carrots, potatoes and a cup of water and cook for 15 minutes

Add seasoning cubes, pepper, curry, salt and roux and stir to combine and let the filling cook for 3 minutes and remove from heat and set aside to get cold

Springle little flour on your work surface, spread the pastry with a rolling pin and cut the dough into round shape and fill half of the dough with filling mixture and cover it with the other half, using a fork to close the pies. (brush the edges with egg white) place on a greased baking tray and apply the egg yolk on the pies using a pastry brush

Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes @ 170
