Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan. Add the chopped onions.

Sauté the onions till they turn golden brown in colour.

Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder. Mix well.

Add washed and cleaned chicken. Mix well to coat evenly.

Cover with a lid and let it cook for around 20-30 mins or until it is almost cooked.

Remove the lid. Add little water. Mix and cook until all the water is evaporated and oil is released. This will cook the chicken completely.

Serve hot with fulkas, onion and lemon.
